Research Data Infrastructure
In GeoKur, we implement a research data infrastructure as proof-of-concept for our concept regarding data quality, provenance, curation and assurance.
Our current implementations include:
- A Data Management System built upon an adapted open source CKAN, a GeoKur specific Metadata Profile (Source Code) including a Process Register to manage provenance process description and a Quality Register to manage quality measure descriptions - both enabling linking from the dataset's metadata.
- An interactive Provenance Viewer using provenance information as PROV-O (Source Code)
- A Triple Store using the open source Apache Fuseki managing general metadata, quality measure and process descriptions as triples (copied from the CKAN)
- A Data Management Plan Tool using the opensource RDMO to implement domain-specific data management plans to facilitate linking data management plan tool and data management system (currently, internal use only)
- Several clients to convert, track or manage metadata: https://github.com/GeoinformationSystems
